yes, days off are lovely. i get to hang out with my littlest and catch up on laundry & various other projects. i finished up another special order earlier while mae played on the cat climber. the cat climber is large - in fact, it’s just large enough for a three-year old to get “stuck” in which is her way of saying, “look at me! i’m a cat!” she can easily get out by herself but it’s far more interesting to get mom involved.
after the fun cat and mouse games i decided to work on a little slouchy toddler hat. it’s made of the most amazingly soft alpaca, but i’m wondering if the color is a bit to…. personal? i LOVE it but it may not appeal to the masses. hubs says it’s butterscotch. sounds good to me! of course, mae helped with that project, too. she picked the eyelet pattern and kept a close eye on me to make sure i wasn’t messing anything up.
the hat turned out beautifully! mae was even kind enough to model it for me which is very, very rare & i’m sure it had NOTHING to do with the doughnut i was bribing her with. wink wink
