you see, there are two things that happen over and over again in my little circle.
the most common is for mare and me to sport similar clothes and hair styles even if we don’t see or speak to each other in months. it’s really a striking phenomenon! we had both said we were growing our bangs out back in the spring. i did. really. they were past my chin. BUT they never stay put and every which way they swooped they came sliding right back into my face. i tried hairspray. i tried mousse. my hair has a power unmatched by any styling product. it’s thick, it’s coarse, and it doesn’t mess around. mare on the other hand had kept the bangs because she’s not an idiot. let’s see how mare is looking these days… oh, wow! a lot like the above pic but much taller and with striking green eyes. ok. enough said.
the second is the minor miscommunications that last years. mare and care and faux (i’m sure you’ve spotted comments on here by all three) have known each other for ages - they’ve been friends for ages. mare and care had been calling faux by a common nick-name the entire time not knowing how faux felt about it. hmmm. akward! once it all came out it gave us something to laugh about and it made for a great story in the end. a similar situation took place last night. in the nearly seven years i’ve been with my husband - over six years of marriage!!! - he has never told me before that he hates bangs. are you freaking kidding me? i mean, #1 how is that possible and #2 do you have any idea how many times i’ve worn bangs thoughout our relationship? what the smack?
for fun, lets just see a selection of the various stages of “bang” moments that have made their way through our relationship… from 2005 to present
does his face say it all here? HA! ok… a few more.
so, i guess it’s safe to say he loves me DESPITE the short hair above my eyebrows.
in other - non hair related news, these blocked today.
