On summer's end
School is back in session, morning carries a harsh chill, and the sun sinks down into the horizon notibly earlier than before. We must be closing in on summer's end!
I'm pleased to also be closing in on my final deadline for the book even with the stress of finishing because I can see the end - the relief - even if it's currently just beyond my fingertips, it's there. So, these days pass quietly as cool air settles in. Hubs made buttered coffee this morning and I'm ending the day with hot buttered rum chai. Drinking up butter... Yikes. My sweet friend Heather told me about buttered coffee - years? - ago and it took us all this time to grow brave enough to try it. Ya, it's good. It's worth a go.
I'm ok with this turn of the earth - as I get older I've fallen in love with the seasonal shift - and I'm waiting (impatiently to be honest) with the lovely new endeavors I'm cooking up for next year.
