Seed to Sprout Shawlette PATTERN

7.00

This shawl is all about late spring and early summer. The yarn selected incorporates the rich greens of the first long grass of the year with the bright green of young sprouts. Texture reins near the shoulders, and then gently submits to flowing lace – all inspired by the seeds and sprouts that bring us so much joy and anticipation this time of year. You’ll love this shawl’s light drape & as an added bonus – you’ll only use one hank and have yarn to spare!

Good to know about the directions and charts…
The pattern mixes written and charted instructions – the top of the shawl is completely written out with a chart for the center of the shawl only. The center is a fern lace that repeats all the way through the textured portions until Row 80 and is written in bold text. The chart for the fern lace is included as a reference only & chart rows do not correspond to the rows being worked within the pattern. Beginning on row 65, the pattern will be charted primarily with additional details in the written sections on how to read and complete the charts. All charts & the chart key are located on the final pages of the pattern.
The center two stitches of the chart are highlighted in red throughout the written portion. It’s my experience that having a highlighted center reference is helpful in working a pattern such as this.
