okay, so i haven’t done anything creative or worthwhile in weeks.  i started another market bag but ran out of yarn and am too lazy to start another ball.  all that knot-tying! tieing? tiing. tyng.  is knot-tieing even a word?  the cat likes to sit in the market bag as it rests beside the computer unfinished:

i wonder if i should just bind off and sell the pattern to knitpicks as a sort of cat cushion?

courtney has me doing this 30 day photography project & i am so about to be over it.  please stay away from the link over there on the right, i beg you.  my last few efforts have been so weak; it embarasses me.  & today’s subject is silhouette which sounds like a real chore.  i mean, its going to take an hour at least to think of something to photograph, stage it, take about twenty pictures, choose the least offensive, upload, edit, change my mind, new picture, crop, edit, hate it, start over… post it, change my mind; i can’t handle it.

the other day i locked dr. mancini in the bathroom so i could climb out the back window & photograph a sunset:

here the window appears large, but its really not.  & there was more than one giant spider web to duck around.  the storm door broke the week after i moved into this dump & won’t latch closed.  for a while i got by with twine keeping it closed.  but then on a stormy night, water poured in through the cracks around the door so now the inside door is lined with two layers of duct tape.  which unsettles me because whenever i notice it i immediately think of that scene from Interiors.  then last winter the twine snapped in a high wind (also on a stormy night) so i taped that up too with some clear shit which was all i could find in that moment.  it appears to be holding up pretty well too, considering.  i found the cinder block in a field at work and pushed it out there this spring.  surely, it has given me peace of mind to know that when the tape finally loses its stick, the block will be there to avert any disasters.  how i live in fear of water leaking down on my neighbors below!  one of many reasons to sell this place.

look how boring it is.  i used to think there was some potential there, but now the wood planks are rotting and rusty nails are popping out everywhere.  its truly hazardous; worthy of condemnation.  i just hope it can be salvaged enough to pass inspection when i sell.  i also hope the home-owners’s association code enforcers don’t discover my brick.

now i am enjoying my Amish jam on an english muffin.  its just great - so simple with only three ingredients: strawberries, sugar, & dutch gel.  i don’t know what dutch gel is - some secret Amish thickening agent, maybe.  i thought about googling it, but the jam tastes so good i think i’ll let the mystery be.  yesterday i googled all the ingredients listed on my cup of yogurt.  wow.  it was organic, but still; all those live cultures sort of freak me out.
