STITCHES Midwest

I’ll be teaching at STITCHES Midwest this year!! I know, crazy…

I have 4 class offerings that you’re not going to want to miss. I love sharing my very special brand of short rows (and use them often in my designs), so I couldn’t wait to get this class on the schedule. I also have a stretchy techniques class for all of those plant fiber lovers out there (or mohair or silk or any other yarn that doesn’t have natural stretch). This class has my favorite stretchy cast-on/bind-off for perfect lace edges and a few other tricks that will change your knitting life. Finally, I have two brioche classes on the schedule. Introduction to Basic Brioche is very comprehensive so that anyone who hasn’t taken the dive yet will be prepared to read and knit any brioche pattern they find. We will cover working 1 and 2 color brioche flat and in rounds along with increasing and decreasing (it is an insanely comprehensive class). Take Brioche to Another Level is more about using different yarns to add a personal and artistic flare to their brioche knitting. We will talk about different yarn weights, textures, and fiber contents, then we will work up some mix and match swatches.

The classes are listed as follows:

1276 Stretchy Techniques to Enhance Your Knitting

1405 No-Wrap Short Rows

1414 Introduction to Basic Brioche (6 hr)

1404 Take Brioche to Another Level: Mix Yarn Weights & Fibers (3 hr)

Enrollment opened on March 26th, so make sure you register early. I have very limited space for each of my classes so that I can work with each of you one on one.

I look forward to seeing you there!!
