As I spoke briefly about in my previous post, this book came to life only after many incarnations and with that, a series of sketches, swatches, yarn selections and re-selections. Some of my favorite sketches though are not the finished ones that ended up going for review, but the ones I put down hastily on scraps of paper I had near by. Those moments of inspiration when a bit of construction revealed itself to me are the ones that kept me pushing forward with intention. The above photo shows the moment I decided on construction for the Native Poncho and the accompanying red swatch was the preliminary stitch that transformed into the cable for the Aileron
These ended up being two of my favorite pieces for their easy styling and coziness and I look forward to sharing more about them both with you in the near future!
